Brief CV

I graduated from the School of Law at the Αristotle University of Thessaloniki and obtained my MSc from the School of Law /The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in Criminology. Furthermore I studied Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology at the School of Philosophy – The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Finally, I received my Ph.D. degree from the School of Law /National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in Criminology (“Suicides in the Greek Prison System”). I was the President of the Board of “The Central Scientific Council for Treating Victimization and Juvenile Delinquency / KESATHEA”- the Greek Ministry of Justice and a member of many Greek law making committees

Research Interests

My main research interests are in the field of: a) Violations of Human Rights during in imprisonment, Mental Health in Prisons, Prevention of suicide and self-harm during deprivation of liberty, children of imprisoned parents and b) Child sexual abuse and Forensic Interviews of Alleged Child Sexual Abuse Victims. I have a great experience in working with vulnerable groups and has participated in numerous training and scientific programs related to their victimization.
