Brief CV
Elias Tsakanikos graduated from the Department of Psychology, University of Crete, Greece. He obtained his MSc in Research Methods in Psychology at University College London UK. At University College London he also completed his PhD in Psychology (Experimental Psychopathology). He then worked as post-doctoral researcher in co-morbid psychopathology in adults with developmental disorders at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, UK. At King’s College London he was appointed a Lecturer and became the course Director of the MSc in Mental Health in Learning Disabilities. He was then appointed a Senior Lecturer and a Reader in Abnormal Psychology and Personality at the University of Roehampton, London, UK. After 22 years in the UK — and completing a full circle — Elias returned back to Greece and was elected an Associate Professor at Department of Psychology, University of Crete.
