Short Bio
Elias Economou is an Associate Professor of Cognitive Psychology. He got his bachelor from the Psychology Department, University of Crete and his PhD from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, USA. Since 2004 he has held several positions at the Psychology Department of University of Crete. His research interests include visual perception, organizational principles, attention and human/machine interaction.

Research Interests
I study the way the human cognitive system processes natural stimuli of the environment in order to perceive objects and their qualities. My work focuses on both the “decoding” of human visual perception as well as its simulation in machine systems.
